The 45th ASSCT Conference will be held at the Townsville Exhibition & Convention Centre (TECC)centrally located at Entertainment Drive Townsville, Queensland 4810 Australia during the period of Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th April 2024. All General, Manufacturing and Agricultural sessions will follow at the same site, concluding after the tours on Friday 19th April 2024.

Further information regarding the 2024 conference will be disclosed as preparations continue.

On-site registration is available commencing 12:00pm on Tuesday 16th or 7:30am Wednesday 17th April 2024 at the TECC.


The registration fee provides entry to all Conference sessions, morning and afternoon teas and lunches. The fee also covers bus transport for the Conference tours.


Please ensure when purchasing your delegate registration tickets, you are aware of the inclusions per ticket type and make allowances to purchase any additional tickets to social/networking functions.


Conference registrations are only available online.


For delegates and partners not registering for the Conference, tickets are available for the two social functions at individual cost.

Industry Equipment Exhibition

2024 INDUSTRY EQUIPMENT EXHIBITION

The 2024 ASSCT Industry Equipment Exhibition will be held from Tuesday 16 April to Friday 19 April 2024, in the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre, Townsville City, QLD.

It is proposed that the Exhibition will be set up on Tuesday 16 April and conduct the official opening of the exhibition prior to the start of the Welcome Drinks Function, Tuesday evening. The program will run to Friday including field trips with exhibitors packing up during this time on Friday 19 April 2024.

Suppliers’ Presentations are again included in the Conference Program to allow Industry Equipment Exhibitors to demonstrate the benefits to the sugar industry of new services, products or equipment.  Each presentation should present at least one case study that shows realised or potential benefits.  More information is available here on the requirements for the Suppliers’ Case Studies. All final case studies should be in the hands of the editor no later than 7 February 2024.

Morning and afternoon tea and coffee will be provided in the Exhibition area during breaks in Conference sessions. Lunch will be provided to Conference delegates as part of the Registration Fee and will be served in the Industry Equipment Exhibition.

The exhibition application fee includes one full conference registration per booth. Additional booth staff will need to be registered and paid for. It is important that all booth occupiers complete the conference registration process.

Conference delegates represent a broad cross-section of the sugar industry and include factory personnel (managers, engineers and chemists), field personnel (cane inspectors, transport staff and cane growers), research workers and overseas visitors.

It is important that Exhibitors reserve their space with an early application. The IEE is currently limited to 55 booths. While every application is important, preference must be given in order to sponsors, early applications and then late applications.

Two size booths will be available for the 2024 Industry Equipment Exhibition. Cost per 3m x 3m booth will be $3400 and 3m x 2m booth will be $3150. 

All costs are GST inclusive. The ASSCT Executive discourages any function held away from the Conference Centre during business hours 0800 - 1730.
