PRESIDENTS MESSAGE FOR THE 2026 ASSCT CONFERENCE

It is with great enthusiasm that I begin my term as President of the Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologists. I am honoured to lead our Society into another exciting chapter as we continue advancing innovation, collaboration, and excellence across all sectors of our industry.

I am especially pleased to invite you to the 2026 ASSCT Conference, which will be held from 21st April to 24th April 2026 at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre in the heart of Queensland’s sugarcane country.

Mackay, with its rich sugar heritage and vibrant research and production community, is the perfect setting to showcase the latest in sugarcane science and technology. Our 2026 conference promises to deliver a dynamic program of technical presentations, industry updates, and networking opportunities that will benefit researchers, millers, growers, and suppliers alike.

In the coming months we will announce further details of the 2026 conference being held at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre.
